A wonderful long walk through the beautiful Wye Valley

Come on a long stomp to the Wye Valley with us!

Meeting time 10:20am, to set off at 10:30am.

Meeting point Meet at the Kerne Bridge car park.

Difficulty Pretty challenging. It’s 5 hours of walking time, with a couple of steep ascents and descents.

Route Komoot route

Toilets There are public toilets at Symonds Yat (may not be open) and a pub there that might let you use the toilet (about halfway round). Pub at the end that may let you use facilities.

Cafe/pub Inn on the Wye, Kerne Bridge at the end.

Parking Parking at Kerne Bridge car park (£6). This car park is quite small - leave plenty of time to find another spot if full. You might be able to park at Inn on the Wye.

Public transport No chance - find or offer a lift in the Rideshare Whatsapp group.

Dogs Dogs are welcome. You’ll need a lead in case we encounter livestock, and you might have to carry them over stiles or gates.

Access info Mostly well established walking tracks and paths. Not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Stiles and gates.

Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch, snacks, plenty of water and wear walking boots if you can. Waterproofs and layers always handy too!
