Bristol Ring Section 4

We’ve been doing the Bristol Ring the last few months - onwards to Section 4!

You do not need to book a place on this walk - just turn up at the meeting point and time.

Meeting time 10:15am for an 10:30am start.

Meeting point Meet outside The King’s Head.

End point Clifton Down.

Terrain, difficultly and accessibility This is a medium-length walk, suitable for most fitness levels. The walk is mostly along city footpaths and park footpaths. There are some hill climbs.

The total walking time is 3 hours. Not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.

Route Go Jauntly or OS Maps route.

Toilets There are toilets at Ashton Court we can use, about halfway through.

Cafe/pub/lunch We’ll stop at the Ashton Court cafe for a toilet and lunch break. BYO packed lunch or grab something there.

Public transport Buses A1 and 75 from the centre stop near the start. Bus 8 goes back to town from near the end point.

Parking As this is a one-way route, we recommend taking public transport.

Dogs Dogs are welcome on a lead.

What to wear/bring Bring water and some lunch and snacks. Wear comfortable shoes, layers and waterproofs if it’s raining.
