We’ll be doing a 7.7 mile walk at Cheddar Gorge to raise money for Amos Trust Gaza Appeal, with Queer Hikes South Wales.

We’re walking 7.7 miles as on this day the genocide in Palestine will have been happening for 777 days.

You’ll need to book a place below for this. All the money from tickets will go to Amos Trust’s Gaza Appeal, supporting local grassroots organisations giving aid to Palestinians.

Meeting time 10:15am for a 10:30am start.

Meeting point Meet at Cliff Street Car Park in Cheddar.

Difficulty Challenging. There is a very steep ascent on muddy terrain, and a descent on a rocky path that needs caution. 4 hours walking time. You should wear walking boots on this hike. We have a wet weather alternative if it’s been raining to avoid some of the more slippy paths.

Toilets There are public toilets a 6 minute walk from the start and the end of the route but you will need to use them before the meeting time. Please arrive in good time to go to the toilet first.

Cafe/pub We’ll go to the Riverside Inn afterwards.

Lunch stop Bring a packed lunch, plenty of water and snacks with you.

Public transport Not really possible for this walk. Try the Whatsapp rideshare group or book a place on the minibus from Bristol.

Parking Cliff Street Car Park, £6.40 all day.

Dogs Dogs are welcome on the walk but there may be livestock so they will need to be on a lead.

Access info The walk is on steep forest paths, has rocky terrain and stiles. It’s not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or people with limited mobility.
