Refunds and cancellations

We just cover our costs on trips with a small buffer, and some upfront costs have been made. So we cannot offer a refund on the deposit, but we can refund any other payments made as long as we can find someone to replace you on the trip. Otherwise, we cannot refund you.

We cannot offer any refunds for cancelling within 30 days of the trip. You should take out travel insurance to recoup any costs should you have to cancel due to illness.

  • We’ve got a really lovely villa all to ourselves, including a pool!

There’s 2 people to each room. Most can be twins or doubles. If you’re coming alone, you’ll share a twin room with someone.

It’s about a 20 minute walk to Funchal from the villa, or there is a bus you can take.

You can find out more about the villa here.

  • This is a self catered trip, so you’ll need to do your own food shopping and cooking. There’s likely to be people who want to team up for meals.

There’ll be an optional group meal out somewhere.

We’ll provide some essentials like oil, butter, tea etc, and a simple dinner on the first night we arrive.

  • Madeira can be quite hilly. All the routes and info about them are shared in the itinerary above. You can opt out of any walks you don’t want to do.

We ask for access needs so we can chat to you about what to expect and work out if it might be best to sit any hikes or activities out.

Group trips mean we move at group pace. Some people are faster, some are slower. We’ll take regular breaks and it may mean if you’re a faster walker there’s a bit more waiting around.

  • You’re responsible for booking your own flights and getting to and from the airport in the UK.

You can fly direct with EasyJet from Bristol.

21st March: Depart Bristol 3:10pm, arrive Funchal 6:50pm

28th March: Depart Funchal 7:20pm, arrive Bristol 10:50pm.

Transport to and from the villa is included for those on the Bristol flights above. If you fly from elsewhere you’ll need to arrange your own transport.
