An lovely evening walk across leafy Clifton - we’ll end at the observatory to watch the sunset and eat a picnic.

2.5 miles, 2 hours

You do not need to book a place on this walk - just turn up at the meeting point and time. One way walk.

Meeting time 6:30pm for a 6:45pm start.

Meeting point Meet outside the Asda Garage on Whiteladies Road.

End point Clifton Observatory

Terrain, difficultly and accessibility This is a relatively short walk with moderate hill climbs. It is suitable for most fitness levels.

The total walking time is 1.5 hours. Not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.

Toilets There are no public toilets on the route.

Cafe/pub There are several pubs nearby at the end of the walk.

Food Bring some food for a picnic at the end if you’d like!

Parking As this is a one-way walk, public transport is recommended. There is free parking on the Downs. Please allow time to find a spot.

Public transport Both the start and end of the walk are served by regular buses from the centre.

Dogs Dogs are welcome on a lead.

What to wear/bring Bring water. Wear comfortable shoes, layers and waterproofs/umbrella if it’s raining. We recommend long trousers for summer walks because of overgrown brambles and ticks.
