An evening walk around St George Park and up Trooper’s Hill to spot some fireworks!

We’ll provide the brownies and sparklers! You don’t need a ticket for this walk - just show up at the meeting time and place.
Walk info
Meeting time 6pm for a 6:15pm start.
Meeting point Outside The Red Church, 190 Church Rd, Redfield, Bristol BS5 8AE.
Difficulty Not challenging. Mostly flat with a gentle ascent up to Trooper’s Hill.

Toilets No public toilets on the route.
Cafe/pub The Dark Horse is close to the end if you fancy a drink afterwards.
Food Bring a flask of something warm! We’ll provide some brownies.
Public transport Buses 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 from the city centre.
Parking You can try Chalks Road Car Park (free) but it may be closed for building work. You can park on residential streets for free nearby, but leave plenty of time to find a space.

Dogs Dogs are welcome on the walk but there will be fireworks.
Access info The walk is on pavements and paved park paths. The original route goes through a forest path with steps, but we can avoid this and stick to pavements so it is accessible for wheelchairs or limited mobility. Please let the walk leaders know if you would prefer this at the start of the walk. You’re also very welcome to meet us at the top of Trooper’s Hill and not do the rest of the walk.
