A one-way walk from Pensford all the way to Long Ashton!

You do not need to book a place on this walk - just turn up at the meeting point and time.

Meeting time 10:30am, to set off at 10:45am.

Meeting point Meet outside The Rising Sun, Pensford, BS39 4AQ.

End point The Angel Inn, Long Ashton

Terrain, difficultly and accessibility This is a challenging walk. There is a steepish, short ascent and descent, followed by a gentle but prolonged climb and then descent. Most of the walk will be on field and forest paths, so not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.

You need to be able to walk for 5 hours in total.

Route Komoot route

Toilets There are no public toilets on route, but you might be able to use pubs or cafes in Long Ashton.

Cafe/pub Head to the Angel Inn afterwards.

Lunch Bring a packed lunch.

Parking This is a one-way walk so we recommend getting public transport.

Public transport Get the 376 bus to Pensford at 9.58am from Bristol Bridge. Coming back, several buses go from Long Ashton back into town.

What to wear/bring Bring snacks and water. Wear comfortable shoes, layers and waterproofs/umbrella if it’s raining.
